Parents Gathering
Parents Gathering is an initiative by RiverLife Church for parents of various age groups. The journey of parenting can be tough. Many times, the focus becomes on education and ensuring that our children behave well. But what if they were created for so much more? This platform is designed to help parents to grow in their roles as parents, as well as support one another in their parenting journey. Each gathering will include short teachings, group connection time, refreshments, as well as parents processing time.

The Art of Parenting

The Art of Parenting is designed to help parents make faith the core of their parenting with intentional, Biblical teaching and Christ-centered plans. Parents will end the experience with renewed confidence, fresh insights on raising children at different ages, and a parenting plan unique to each child’s personality and gifting. Inspired by Psalm 127:4, this new eight-session small-group study is video based and covers the following topics:

• The Goal of Parenting
• Forming Character
• Applying Discipline
• Building Relationships
• Understanding Identity
• Nurturing Identity
• Preparing for Mission
• The Power of Family

The engaging video sessions feature interviews with parenting experts, stories from parents who share their own experiences, and dramatic clips from FamilyLife’s feature film Like Arrows. The participant workbook includes questions for group discussion, activities for individual reflection and growth, and additional parenting articles. Plus, an interactive activity runs throughout the eight sessions and results in a parenting plan unique to each child.
